Good article on the old .357 Maximum, too hot to handle. Back when I started shooting silhouette, there was still a few competitors using this cartridge.

Great in a Contender...not so great in much anything else.

Although, a lever carbine rechambered in .357Max would be fun.

I got to shoot 2 rounds out of a Dan Wesson revolver once. Two rounds is all he had when he showed up at my Brother -in-Law's place while I was there. He wanted my B-i-L to shoot it because he said something seemed to be wrong with it. Said he couldn't hit anything with it.

I put those two rounds about a 1/2" apart and dead even with each other at 25 yards. The guy looked at me and said , I guess I need to practice some more.
