Germany's Bundeswehr (Federal Armed Forces) selected a Czech-made pistol, not a German one, as its standard-issue sidearm.

Didn’t read this article but one I did read stated HK wasn’t even in the trials

This one mentions that as well. I think a couple of others were excluded as well. Likely, it’s just like in the US…all about the Benjamins and the “greased” palms. These CZs would cost WAY less than HKs for sure.

IMO, a great choice on a great pistol. Admittedly, the choice is somewhat of a surprise, considering.

Nah, that’s just greased palms. Which sounds really disgusting when you say that out loud…

Looking at Sig… I admit that Glock should have absolutely won that competition.
