People forget that, really, this was the first “Assault Rifle”—capable of putting a lot of fire on target rapidly (well, technically, the Henry...but lever actions in general).

Watch someone who really knows how to run one go to work sometime...

A true iconic classic. I can only guess the number of butt stocks and forearms for the 336 models I made in the 15 years I worked for Marlin to be close to the 1,00,000. Mark.
the sad part is if Remington does go under and the buyer does not see the potential of keeping the Marlin brand going then the Marlin legend will be over.

I have a 1895GS in 45-70. I have use it to hunt deer and elk. Love it for getting through thick brush.
