The struggle was real...

I really did struggle with this, and I should really lay off the gun magazines (they are as dangerous as websites, to me anyway 😎). I have been wanting to put an optic on my VP9SK for a while now. I wasn't really going nuts searching for one, I already know. I was saving for an optic ready slide conversion kit. Well then I come across an ad in a magazine showcasing the VP9A1. Interesting, so I go and check it out (online of course, because nobody in these parts has one of those laying around in their store).

So then I'm thinking...do I really need a gun like one I have already? Well no, but it has lots of improvements, so they say. So nah, but let's check prices. Nope. But the seed was planted . Anyway, I watched a couple of reviews on it and wandered into a website. I found a VP9A1 K for about $200 more than a conversion kit would have cost, and significantly less than MSRP. Needless to say, I lost the struggle. But after reading the thread @Lab4Us posted about needing an intervention, I don't feel bad for throwing money at another gun. To borrow his phraseology, I merely "made another significant donation to the gun industry" 😉.

Got it stripped down as I'm writing this. I'm going to swap out the back strap and side panels after I clean it. It will join me at the range tomorrow.

Don’t blame you on that purchase a bit. As I’ve become more proficient with optics, I’ve wished I would have had Langdon put an optic on the PX4 Storm compact I had them build for me. If I could buy another Langdon PX4 Storm compact directly from them, with an optic, for $200 under the regular price, it would be on its way to me to join its’ twin.

Thanks guys. My pockets aren't as deep as I would like, but I fell down this rabbit hole and landed hard. Try as I might, I can't help but look at the new and improved...but I have to say that I have learned an awful lot from you guys, and my tastes are becoming more refined. I know what I like, and what I don't like. I am a girl, but instead of shoes...I collect guns. 😎
