Actually, they are not "true" full synthetics, according to this and what I have researched online. They are, in reality, "synthetic blends", if you go by the actual chemical makeup of them. Amsoil has TRUE synthetic oil, with the price tag to go along with it. The "blends" we are using today are far superior to the conventional oils of yesteryear, and work well for their intended purposes. However, if you are running a turbo, even though they say these "blends" are fine for your vehicle, you may be better off switching out to the true synthetics for the longevity of that turbo.Been using full synthetic, first Mobil One, and then/now Castrol for almost 50 yrs.
Has definitely helped my engine life.
For vehicles also!Mobil 1 is for guns.![]()
I've never understood this, how do you know the filter media hasn't clogged enough to cause it to bypass the filter material completely? I knew a guy who only changed filters every third oil change, even though he spent money on good oil he could never figure out why he had such problems with his vehicles. I mentioned it and he stated it was a waste of money to throw away a perfectly good oil filter. After all the oil filter package said it was good for 10k miles.....I also swap out filters each time even though they have filters that can handle multiple oil changes.
