Yet another vote for control of the US populace by politicians that think “they” are the arbiters of what’s good for all of us. Can anyone explain, exactly, how this will prevent mass shootings, murders, aggravated assaults, muggings, car jackings, etc.? It would seem to me the ACTUAL criminals will just continue to buy anything regulated off the street while only us law abiding dupes will be standing in line to hand over all our personal information for no reason. Well, not this dupe yet, I don’t live in Colorado and don’t plan on going back just based on its politics. A shame really, I enjoyed my time in Colorado Springs from 1977-1980.

It makes the uninformed folks think the elected are doing some good. I mean, if they didn't do something, they wouldn't get their name out there, wouldn't you agree?

I mean, seriously. There are ridiculous bills that every state legislature debates every session that make ZERO sense. I almost want to see Government be LOCAL, as in my COUNTY.
 
This is in lock step to make every part of the firearm a serialized part. As it is now only the receiver or fire control system is the "actual" firearm. Therefore if everything is serialized then everything will need to be 4473'd and through an FFL. Many manufacturers started putting serial numbers on barrels and such. You can buy a barrel for your HK USP and it will come with a serial number, ask me how I know.

I don't remember who it was maybe David Muir I don't know but there was the talking news head that was waving a 30 round AR magazine on TV in New York. Clearly in violation of New York state law. If I remember right Gun Owners of America in the NRA and a couple of other rights organizations raised holy hell and demanded his arrest. I didn't remember if New York bothered to responded but they sure as hell didn't arrest him for clearly violating the law.

Do you remember the episode of whatever news show Katie Couric did where she had the guy that lived in Colorado go buy a gun at a gun show in New Mexico, filmed the whole thing and put video evidence that the guy had deliberately illegally transferred a firearm across state lines (federal felony last I heard) and again, all the gun rights organizations raised hell and nothing happened.

And you still think the leftist government and the leftist news media aren't in bed together?

And we come here and we talk about how dumb the left is and how they don't know anything about guns but they keep managing to get these ever increasingly restrictive gun laws passed.

Because people who have no capability of self thought do as they’re told and vote them into office, time and time again, though if they had a clue they’d realize they were voting away their freedoms one election at a time 😔…

It opens up the potential of The Man getting hold of said barrel and firing a few rounds through it and collecting the ballistic info. Think of it as an oblique form of gun registration. . .
 
Has anyone here ever been asked by your local, state or fed representatives what you thought of the crap they dream up? I've lived in four states since I came of age to vote and never once have any of these clowns asked what I thought. Even when I went to some of their "meetings" it was only to hear them bloviate about all their accomplishments with no opportunity to get feedback from the attendees. Question: Should I write a letter to my congressman? Answer: Each politician has two ends; a sitting end and a thinking end, and since his whole success depends upon his seat, why bother friend!
