With people traveling so much they'e also spreading it via theit dogs that they take with them on trips.

Recently my state first detected an Eastern tick species because of that.

Our native ticks typically are out until the summer heat (Augustish) knocks them back alot.

Back in the early 90’s, I got bite by a deer tick and got Lymes disease, had to go through 2 months of antibiotics to get rid of it. Usually it’s just a month regimen, but my blood test came back in inconclusive, so my doctor treated me another month and then my blood tests came back clear. Just got to be aware of them little critters.
