TISAS PX-9 Duty Comp (uses Sig 226 mags)

Found a good deal on a PX-9 Duty Comp ($396). While I have a comped MAC DS9, it's a big gun vs. this more Glock 45 sized gun. No idea what I'll use it for other than range fun (maybe IDPA? I think it'd qualify). I've been pretty impressed with TISAS's other offerings, especially their PX-5.7, so I figured why not. For everything it came with, customization-wise, I'm pretty surprised and hope this becomes a trend with other manufacturers. Also, the factory trigger is a smooth 3.5 lbs (it's striker fired so it's not "crisp", but take-up from 70-75 degrees at rest is to start of pull at about 85 degrees, then a smooth pull through to about 105 degrees - short pull/short reset.

Base gun + 2 Sig P226 pattern mags, 18 and 20 rounds. Optional magwell included. Three sets of side panels and backstraps (S/M/L) for customization. Three mag release buttons (S/M/L). Extra optics screws. RMR pattern slide cut with tall recoil bosses for extra thread engagement. Slide stop that's shaped/fit like a *thumb rest [generic]*. Mini-IWB trigger-guard holster. Everything a shooter needs to fit it to them and hit the range.

Because it's not a carry gun and is likely to be a range gun, I wasn't going to spend $$$ on an optic. My first try with Cyelee, and with an astigmatism, their STIG (astigmatism friendly) dots are much clearer without shooting glasses for me. Interesting technology.
