took my buddy too the range

once again, another trip to the range for my buddy.
this time i took my RIA .22 magnum, and the S&W Series E 1911.
he did quite well, very well indeed.
he got a few bullseyes with the .22.
all at 7 yards.
then i took my turn with the 1911, and at 10 yards.
after my box of ammo, i asked if he wanted to give the 1911 a try, and he said sure.
now, he has shot other 1911's that i have, but those were at the club and 25 feet away
he told me to leave the target at the 10 yards...
and the first 4 shots...........??
the SOB gets bullseyes...........
i'm like, WTF............how in da world did you do that..??
he said he was as surprised as i was..........uh.......i don't think so......
i did not have my camera with me, and he took the targets to the mom/pop gun store, to show everyone
i had to leave, and as i was leaving i said, "i ain't taking him no more".........
the owner and manager couldn't stop laughing.
once again, my buddy had a grin on his face.
back nearly a year now in September, he had to have 3 spots removed from his lung.
he still feels some pain there.
but once again, he didn't feel any pains, only the enjoyment of seeing my face totally confused...........
and at 10 freaking yards.........his first time......Jesus H. Christ.........
i think if we go again next week, i'm taking one of my revolvers, maybe the Korth it's due for it's range time.
but only .38 specials, i do not shoot .357 magnums anymore.

maybe your buddy has another buddy that takes him to the range more than you do so he can practice without you knowing so that when you finally take him to the range (once in a blue moon) he makes you look bad. just a thought.
