Ukrainian draft?

I just saw something the flat out amazes me. It said they had lowered their draft age from 27 to 25. Their short of manpower and are being urged to lower the age to 18 so that men 18-25 CAN be drafted. What the heck is That about? Here we always drafted the younger guys First.

Ukraine has wanted the younger folks to develop a career skills and start families at an early age.

Those younger can still volunteer for service.

True, but if you exempt your 18-25 yr olds you are also missing some of the physically strongest from your armed forces. When you are in a fight for your very existence I’d think you pull all the stops.

At this point of the game I believe it should be all hands on deck! Sooner or later support will falter if it doesn't end soon.
