I've loved this gun since the first time I saw it a couple decades ago. Surprisingly, it seems to date from 1957 or before! It's amazingly "modern" for that time. I don't care at all for the cutaway trigger guard, but if you HAVE to do that, I consider this one more attractive than any of the vandalized "Fitz Special" Colts I've seen.
I'd be pleased and proud to own and shoot this gun today (or a clone, with unchopped trigger guard); an old Tyler T-Grip Adapter would make it just about perfect. In fact, I'd rather have this gun than ANYTHING in S&W's current catalog.
