Where did the 1911 compacts go?

Prior to the pandemic, I had my eye on a Compact 1911 for EDC. In a position again to get a new pistol, but I'm being told that Springfield no longer makes compact .45s. Looking on their site I can see 4.25" in .45, but the only thing smaller is the EMP in 9mm. Did Springfield get out of the compact 1911 in .45 market? Or am I just not looking in the right place?

I haven’t seen hardly any for months now, last one I saw was a Colt Defender, and it was priced high

Springfield discontinued most of their compact 1911 line a year or so ago.

I’d highly recommend the RIA compact 1911’s. A buddy has a GI model that is incredible; he upgraded the sights and it’s been his EDC for the past several years.
