17 round magazine rattle

Can anyone tell me why the 17 rd magazines rattle like a pack of tic tacs in my pocket? The warranty sent it back and said it's normal. Is anyone else having the same problem?
I think it might be helpful if you tell us which 17-round magazines. I mean my 17 round M&P magazines don't rattle[/I]Can anyone tell me why the 17 rd magazines rattle like a pack of tic tacs in my pocket? The warranty sent it back and said it's normal. Is anyone else having the same problem?

that sounds like my neighbors............it's you, not me thingI also received this.
Thank you for contacting Springfield Armory. Due to the fact that the bullets case is coned shaped(the outer diameter of the case is larger in the back and more narrow in the front) and the double stack staggering is as wide as we can go to insure the highest capacity and reliability it is possible and likely that a round in the mag will not be under tension until a round is removed.
You might try bouncing the rounds while they are in the mags to shuffle them into a more supported stance inside the mag.
The XD, XDM, Hellcat and XDS line of mags can and do rattle, it is normal.
Thank you and have a great day!
if you buy a 17 round magazine it should handle 17 rounds as advertised regardless if you have to pull your pants up all dayi laugh not at you sir
i cant remember ever putting more than 10 in the magazines, because it gets so darn heavy
now i must go try![]()
