XD Mod 3 Threaded Barrel

A lot of us have posted our wish lists here and some have come true. I have an XD9 Mod.3 that I really enjoy, lots of bang for your buck. I put a Holosun 507 green dot on it and I'm slowly working it into my carry rotation. I guess when my eyes are bad enough it will be my main EDC. :geek:

For a comp, I just bought the Echelon 4.5F Comp. Lots of folks like the 4" compact version too. I know, I know. That means buying a whole new gun. Is that a bad thing? ;)

I'm not sure about aftermarket parts compatability or availability, but I've heard of places like Bar-Sto Precision and Storm Lake that make aftermarket barrels. I don't know if/when Springfield would ever offer a threaded barrel for the Mod.3.

Does anyone know if a tactical length XD9 barrel is compatible enough? Can it be cut down, crowned, and threaded for a comp? That sounds expensive. I suppose just about anything is possible if you have enough money. But I digress. Thanks for joining us.
