XDM Elite 9mm no. Optics cut?

I don't understand why the XD-M® ELITE 4.5" OSP™ HANDGUN does not come with optics cut. I don't want the threaded barrel or raised sights of the other versions. The new 10mm version has it included. Any ideas at to why they didn't include it on the 9mm?

Also, why do most of their guns have a grip safety, and the gun that really needs it (Hellcat and Hellcat Pro) don't. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they had a safety that wasn't only located on the trigger.

The OSP model does come with the optics cut. The standard XD-M model does not have the optics cut.
