Your neck of the woods

I have no idea why I was driving by here last night, but it was low tide, so though I would take a pic. It looks good walking up to it, but every time I see it (even as a kid) I always say the same thing. Really? That's disappointing. Yep, Plymouth rock.

What’s the history behind this site?
As @10mmLife mentioned, it is alleged that this is the rock the pilgrims first stepped on when arriving in the new world. They technically landed in Provincetown, which is the very last town at the tip of Cape Cod. Still, that little cracked rock brings in a lot of $ for the town of Plymouth, MA. :)

I thought the same. Apparently by our state laws, school must be X days with X days built in for bad weather and X days for teacher in service training days. Snow days still exist . Kids are happy
Yes I'm well aware of that they have built in days for snow days. But if they do not use them your kids can start summer vacation 7-10 days earlier. Most of our areas teacher institute days now piggy back holidays like say MLK or other one day holiday.

Our area stated with new e-learning that snow days will be a thing of the past. That's all I was going off of.

The 3 tenths of rain really cooled it down over night. The packer will be doing the road today. Not pretty, but has served its function for 50 years. My dad built it.

First time in a while that I've seen a doe with twins. I just put the pickup in park and observed the 3. Watching her tend to them they play........... meanwhile I've work too do and wish they would get out of my way  . I'll go check another well and leave them be.
