I actually think there could be some differences involving fitting (beyond grips, etc mentioned above). DYL is somewhat less $$ than the other milspec, right?
I have noticed my Garrison is decidedly less well fit than my Ronins - rack the slide and the Garrison is , well, not bad per se, but scratchier. Same with trigger pull…and the price diff is about $150 (street) last time I looked.

I just polished my mil-spec. rails, feed ramps etc. Like @TidalWave said, its scratchy but shoots great

Cico - Polishing rails and possibly some deburring (?) on the Garrison is high on my to-do list !!
Could you PM me how you did yours? Products & sources, technique - anything u think useful - would be appreciated !

When I polished areas on my guns, my friend at SSK Industries told me to use crocus cloth, it will polish but not remove any material…FYI

just use a bazooka...........
it'll make you an expert shooter faster.
of course, have several other range memberships in the works, for when you get kicked out of your current one.
thanks. sometimes i think i'd be better off just throwing the gun and save the ammo.
Just throw it fast enough and you can make a pretty big hole in the paper.
if it gets to that point i'll be better off swinging a sock full of nickles.

DYL difference are Grips, 1 mag and just plain blued finish.
Its a stripped down no frills 1911.
I own one and have written an extensive review last year. Runs flawless
