Sig Release of the Romeo2 Red Dot Sight

Yet another Sig email received announcing their new Romeo2 sight. It comes complete with a wrench which is set to the correct torque setting; different shrouds you can attach (including one to have it in a fully closed housing), and a magnetic cover that will immediately turn off the red dot. (it also goes off after a certain time amount and is shake-awake on capable).

Totally agree. It just doesn't make sense that it's that expensive.
Where is it made. If it's made in the USA, I can be okay with that, I guess. If it's made in China like most, I'm totally not interested at all.
I can see a outstanding RD costing a bit, I'm still going to need heavy convincing I'm getting my monies worth.

According to the below linked video, several of their optics are produced in Oregon U.S.A. They specifically mentioned the Romeo2 and RomeoZero, being produce there. I'm guessing part of the price of the Romeo2 includes it being Mil-Spec, targeting the Military/law Enforcement sector. They show a drop test of the Romeo2 towards the end of the video which is about 10:39 minutes in length. Pretty interesting stuff, and I hope they will continue to produce more of their electronic optic device here in the USA.

Although I don’t own a Sig Firearm I’m a big supporter of their optics and really like the Sierra3BDX rifle scopes, I have one on my M1A
$900+ dollars for a red dot?
