Lousy Day

Woke up at my usual 4 am today. Made some coffee and some breakfast. While eating I felt something hard up against my tongue and pulled it out of my mouth. It was a cap from my tooth that I had installed 5 months ago. I was so glad I didn't swallow it! I went to dentist office when the opened this morning and they told me if I could wait they would get me in and have the cap put back on because it wasn't supposed to fall out like that. I waited 2 hours and finally went to desk and asked how much longer and it could be 2 more hours before I could be seen! I told them to forget it and walked out. They called me about an hour later and wanted to setup an appointment with me to get it re-installed the middle of January. Are you kidding me! This cap was expensive even with insurance and they want me to wait to get in re-installed? I hung up on them. This is the same place that called me the day before my cleaning appointment to cancel on me back in November. Looks like I will have to travel 60 miles each way to go to a dentist because there isn't any other ones here in town. The other dentist I used stopped taking my dental insurance Uniter Concordia. I am just fed up today! Oh yeah, I will not have the cap put back on my tooth!

sorry to hear this. my dentist if i call, they take me in right away. yes, i still may have to wait, but NOT NO 2 + hours.

i had fillings fall out, teeth crack wide open, caps/crowns falling off (after like they were in there like 5+ years...!!) and NEVER a problem.

the only "problem" i had recently as a few months ago, was that i needed a tooth pulled, my dentist does not pull teeth, and my benefits were not accepted at many other dentists/oral surgeons. but my benefits provider found a great oral surgeon, and HE took me in right away too...!!

i think we have here in my area, more doctors, dentists, and psychiatrists, and walmarts, on every street corner, next to all the Dunkin Donuts, than any where else in the country... need directions someplace in my area..?? go to the DD and take a left at the blue building where the psychiatrist has his office.

i wish you well in your solution.

Sorry to hear that. I broke a tooth Friday night. Lucky no pain so I called Tuesday morning and thet got me in at 11:30 only to find out my new retired guy insurance starts on Monday. So made an appointment for next Wednesday and came home. The good news was no charge for them grinding down the sharp edge and they got me in next week.

Yes had to go to some specialist to have $1500 root canal then went back to my dentist so they could bend me over for this BS cap they installed. What I hate is I pay good money to have work done then when they mess up I get treated like crap.

Definitely not very good ethical behavior, unfortunately, and this is my experience is that dentist just don’t care because they will get work no matter what.

I got a box of nuts and candy for Christmas. I bit into a chocolate and found it was caramel after I pulled my crown out of my mouth. I got it reglued within 48 hours. $180 out of pocket. I need to keep the teeth I have left.
Sorry for your troubles. You might try another dentist to see if they could help you out. I had to do it this past fall and it cost a similar amount.

One loop shopping. Go to DD and get a dozen donies, then the Mindbender to learn why you are addicted to the damn donies, the Dr for the checkup and new scrip, the Dentist for a cleaning then cavity repair and finally Wally World to fill your High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, and Anti Depressant. That is efficiency at it's finest ;)

this is exactly how i do my daily errands, in a "loop", rather than say zig-zag and back track like my dumbarse BIL does, then he wonders why he's buying gas 2-3 times a week....

except, i get my meds from Stop& Shop a large grocery chain here, and (Giant in other parts of the country).....on the same scale as Kroger, Piggly-Wiggly, Food Lion, etc......

i don't know what "mind bender" is......that some sort of virtual video game...???? where i get to eradicated all the thugs of the world with a high powered nuclear laser made to look like a Dan Wesson 1911...?????

wait until one corner of the cusp i think it is called, cracks, and you don't even know it, you cannot see it, but man, you shore do feel it when you eat, or drink or inhale some COLD air.....!!!

God only knows the few that cracked on me.

i actually felt the pain, when i was chewing on a stupid PBJ and banana sammich.....all that pressure, split open the cusp each time.

but did i stop..??

hell no, nothing gets in my way of a PBJ and banana sammich...!!!!

well if'n YOU have walmarts WITH a psychiatrist office INSIDE the store, then i'd say your area thinks more of that then ours, cuz all we got is Stinking H&R Block tax people in ours....

this is the only "mindbender" i am aware of....

video game did not load up.

well this thread derailed rather quickly from a fallen cap, to dunkin donuts, to walmarts to psychiatrists in walmart stores, to music...

poor guy, he's suffering from tooth pain...i think, unless he's at the local walmart, grabbing some donuts, and talking with the psychiatrist or the H&R Block accountant..
