I was kinda bummed; I was supposed to go pheasant hunting this weekend with a buddy, but…the weather is absolute crap. Rain (and a little snow this morning), 30mph wind, and a windchill (currently) of 17°…no fun.

And tomorrow will be worse.

So…I decided to swing by a few gun stores; second stop, they had a S&W Shield EZ .380 Performance Center on special.

Yoink.

Way too crappy to hit the range, but I will soon…suspect this will be fun.

And yes-that is a ported barrel.

I didn’t notice, but I could see that only being an issue when firing.

That trigger is SWEET. Crisp, clean, short reset…that’s what sold me.

Very nice indeed. I suspect you will like it. Never owned one but have shot several and they are nice pistols I have recommended to several friends.

It's a welcome addition with the Performance Center guns (some gun shops pretend to "forget" it's part of the deal and you have to remind them), I wish Sig did that with Legion instead of a friggin' coin.

I just shot my old man's EZ .380 on Wednesday. Not a PC, but still a nice little piece.

Must be a new thing. I got a PC .4o Shield and it came with nothing extra. Does have a nicer trigger ( still hinged though) and nice sights.

My PC 380 came with the cleaning kit. but that wasn't long ago. when the gun shop handed me the box i said why such a huge box for a small gun. he then said there was other stuff in it.

That's been the case for quite some time. Sometimes, the LGS needs to be reminded, otherwise the cleaning kit is either forgotten or back on the shelf for $25 as a standalone item, or end up at the employee's home... It happens.

I had a 1st Gen PC Shield 9mm; no kit with that, and it came in a smaller box.

Could be a more recent offering.
