I think the most blatant , unbelievable use of a silencer I have ever seen was in an episode of Gunsmoke. That episode was " The Fourth Victim " . A man was killing a person a night with a Winchester that had a silencer on it. You couldn't hear it fire within a few feet.

I agree with the author. It’s harmful that they do this. Even in the JW movies where him and that rapper dude who plays the Italian gal’s bodyguard are exchanging shots in a crowded subway and no one notices.

sometimes and frankly ALL the times, an HR person will lie to a trucker, to get him/her into the driver seat.

i knew all the ploys they used, called them on every one of them.

Last one i watched was the A team lined up and 15 yards the bad guys were lined up and they shot at each other full auto for 5 minutes, none reloaded and none hit. i said that's all for me. never watched another one. i know they had to keep it rated for TV, but come on. lol

i saw the A-Team movie a couple of times, the only thing i looked forward to was Jessica Biel's long legs getting outta the SUV.

otherwise, back in the day, i never watched that show.

That episode was I think in 1974. During the show Dillon asked Newly ( the town gun smith ) if something could be made to silence a rifle . Newly stated he thought it could be possible.

well, in some movies, i have seen Duracell D cell batteries used as a silencer..and in other movies, a potato

i don't think Newly had any D cell's, but maybe lots of potatoes..???
