I personally like a 124 at 1,200 or so a sall the guns I have ran in 9mm seem to shoot that really really well. I have also had great luck with 147. Both accuracy wise AND when knocking steel over or bowling pins.
My agency ran 215 9bp (the non plus p plus) and while accuracy was fun in our duty guns and in my S&W M&P my Sig 226 and a FN Hi Power they seemed to not be as great accuracy wise in my Glock 17,19 and Gen 5 34 and 45
So like anything how well do you want it to shoot?
I personally stay away from anything under 115 other than 9bp or Gokd Dot is on par with most of the 124-147 with the listed exceptions of my Glocks just didn’t seem to like the .

That's exactly my standard as well. For 9mm JHP's the Gold Dot 124 +P is what I carry. For .40 Gold Dot 155 or 165 and .45 either Gold Dot or HST 230 +P

Have several boxes of Double Tap 230 gr Gold Dot earlier load that was rated at 1014fps from a five inch barrel. Also their 9mm 147 gr +P Gold Dots rated at 1125fps from a 4.5 inch barrel. Pretty impressive.
