Navy launches USS New Jersey, first US submarine built for both genders

The USS New Jersey is the first U.S. Navy submarine designed to accommodate both male and female sailors since the ban on women in subs was lifted in 2010.

clinton... era we re-arranged surface combat ships to accommodate women
on one ship it created a NEW space for the 5 ladies, private head (restroom/showers) as part of the new space
where as the only other people on the ship with such
5 to one layout was the CO and XO
so they had the hilton room

other ships it was not as severe as they re-allocated berthing spaces to be ladies only, but other than the designation sign, on the bulkhead ..nothing changed, still 40 to 50 people using 5 showers and 5 toilets

on the carriers and larger ddg ships, it actually made the ship a better place to live..food got better, :ROFLMAO:
