good to see. There are rumors of some small patches of looting I've seen, but not substantiated, in areas already hit by Helene. Florida would know something of hurricanes and the looting aftermath from decades ago.

I had teams of officers assisting in Homestead following Hurricane Andrew for several months. They reported hearing shots fired every night. Homeowners would approach officers asking for ammo. Looting is a real thing. What the New Orleans PD did confiscating guns following Katrina was shameful, not to mention illegal.

Well we get home invasions, robberies, road rage, gang violence, heavy narcotics trafficking as well as the usual other stuff. I encourage all my friends and colleagues to train and arm up. The next few months (years?) will be challenging, no matter where one lives.

It’s good to see DeSantis doing the right thing.
Keeping everyone safe is important but having someone in charge of emergency management has the power to suspend someone’s 2nd amendment rights is wrong on many levels.

As far as spiders and snakes……
I’m in love with everything about wildlife except for them, I don’t kill them just for being around as long as they are NOT in my personal space.
In my current location the owner of the property was doing lawn maintenance and noticed a Coral Snake under my RV.
There was a large group of people around that day and one lady came running up with her 410 shotgun, not sure what she was thinking but I told her not to start shooting her gun around my camper.
The snake was caught without incident and relocated.
