Why would a gun have “limited lifetime warranty”. ?

Because their 2311's are a POS.
Have one and it's the biggest POS gun I currently own.
Have 5 high capacity 1911 platform guns. The Girsan Witness 2311, very abrasive in feel and operation. Not well put together. Feels like cheap, molded Chinese plastic.
Only redeeming thing is it uses Staccato/Prodigy magazines and uses a Holosun K footprint without a plate.
Mine can't with a Derry RDS.

That thing is just ugly. :poop:
My experience with snubby 1911s is that they need a lot of tweaking to work right. Don't believe I've ever seen one that was good right outta the box.
I happen to own two Girsans. But both are Hi-Power clones. I've been very happy with them.
I owned a Kimber tactical Ultra II with 3" BBL. in .45 ACP. Put a lot of rounds down range and only had 3 malfunctions in first 300 rounds and none after that. It was very accurate also.

I will never understand the full size grip, short slide pistols. The butt is the hard part to hide. And in the 1911 platform, you get much shorter than the Commander and they have a questionable rep. Coned barrels helped. But still, I don't get it. A Commander top end on an Officers frame...that makes sense, as the butt is shorter. Had a Kimber like that. But I don't like full length guide rods and coned barrels just don't point right for me.

No, I would be more inclined to say there are many more than Girsan owners.

In fact i would not say they are because of buying a Girsan. Most Girsan owners I know are very happy with them, including some of our members if I remember correctly.
I think Killerford secretly owns at least one.
