What are you doing right now??

you know what reminds you that even being old you can still JUMP

i was out on porch lighting the grill and generally watching the insane amount of rain
then all the SUDDEN the sky was a bright as a 747 landing light and BOOOOOOM came the crack
yes i levitated at least 3 inches off the concrete
no warning just BRIGHT LIGHT and BAMMMM gotcha
at least i was not in shower all naked and staring out the window :ROFLMAO:

we had a very very strange lighting event
dogs and i were in the garage/tv lounge/man cave etc watching weather channel and it was fading in and out like satellite was blocked...but it was coming in over wifi..so???
all the sudden hairs stood up and a very bright flash as tall as the ceiling right next to the garage door , scary bright
power did the dance on and off number then settled
of course everything had to reboot etc
my old cameras shut down right before the bright light and when they came back on they had jumped nearly 3 minutes ahead...weird

a short time late i notice really bright car lights at end of street not moving just bright as daylight, i walk out and its the power company
the transformer at end of street is laying in the road in shambles... they weren't sure if it leaped to its death or of it got knocked off by mother nature. but it was hurting
i guess we were lucky as it shifted over and only left five with no power..
a hour or so later...new transformer on the pole
this line crew is nutssss lighting all around and them up in the air playing with metal objects

sky still looks like a super light show/
red skies at night, sailors delight my ARSEES

Man! A lightening barrage is no joke.
We had something similar here in Central Texas this evening. No transformer blowing up or power outage but definitely a heck of a light show.
My wife is outside on the patio porch with our dogs. I’m inside sitting in my recliner watching TV. She wants me to come outside and watch the light show.
That’s when I break out my old First Sergeant voice and colorfully tell her to get her happy *** inside. The dogs had enough sense to go outside and do their business when come right back inside.
My wife on the other hand wanted to stay out there and watch the nature in lights show😳
 
had breakfast, lots of coffee, removed the bathroom window from the casing, now waiting, for some sunrise to happen..then i have to remove all the bathroom towel rods, and toilet paper roller thingy, and a door hook...

all seems simple...right....??

uh....NOOOOO....those damned accessories have a tiny allen screw holding them to thier mounts...as usual the wife picked them out years ago......


I DO recall each one of 'em sonsofbeeches, being a gigantic pain in the ***, to get the tiny allen screws to "lock into" each mount thats screwed into the walls.....

i swear, you wommins see something "fancy-schmancy" and you think its all easy-peasy for US MEN to set up, install, and in the future TAKE DOWN, ONLY TO BE PUT BACK UP AGAIN.....!!!!!!!!

DON'T YOU WOMMINS KNOW WE MEN DO NOT READ NOR SAVE THE DAMNED DIRECTIONS......????!!!?????

yup the lightening stuff was over the top last night and now friday looks to be repeat, rinse and spin
the floating orb stuff got my attention with the loud CRACK snap like a power line makes when you ground it
never had it inside the farady cage before.
we are all steel so usually everything stays outside.

but nothing is damage in the house so all the surge stuff did its job
the meter base surge still reads GREEN (y)
 
dropped kids off at school and prepaid for the next 4 weeks of lunch money. hopefully that'll get them thru the rest of the school year. think that's about 16 more school days? my daughter graduates on the 24th (?), then on the 25th she and the few others that made state will leave for south Texas (austin area) for band. some made it as an individual and some as a duet or trio. 2 weeks after that she goes for college orientation. with the awards and qualifications she has received, she's hoping for a scholarship. there's an up to 15k/year (2 semesters) for music members.
