Florida Man gored by bison in Yellowstone National Park

The 47-year-old man from Cape Coral, Florida, was in the Lake Village area of the park when the incident occurred, around 3:15 pm.

The man had approached the bison too closely and was subsequently gored. He sustained minor injuries and was treated by emergency medical personnel.

Besides YNP and Glacier NP (no bison but more griz) if you're not from these parts, and on vacation respect the large and dangerous critters even in the "wild" areas outside the areas' National Parks.

Bison don't like selfies with humans,

and don't be food for the griz.

On the last big family summer trip we took, think I was 15, we drove through the west for 3 weeks. Mother wanted a picture of a bison so dad stopped , got out and snapped a picture. Mother kept telling dad, get closer get closer.

I yelled mother wants the insurance, dad looked at me and then her and said are you out of your F@@@ing mind. Got to remember my parents were married to each other 4 times. Overall Mother was married 6 times dad 4. They had an interesting dynamic.

May sound cold but I always enjoy it when people get hammered by a bison in a park. 💁‍♂️

Except that one a few years ago when a couple abandoned their young daughter after a close up selfie with a buffalo turned violent and the kid got gored. The parents tried to sue the park. They should have been charged with child endangerment.

I suggest that there should be an event similar to what is done during the “Running of the Bulls”.
People who feel the need to take selfies with Bisons are encouraged to participate.
All you need is a camera (Smartphone or Go-Pro) and a Selfie Stick ( optional )
A good pair of running shoes
A up to date Will and Advanced Directive

I’ve had Sangria many times when I visited Spain. You get some of that in you and your alcohol induced courage level is elevated. That’s what most of the participants in the Running of the Bulls drink before they go for the run
