.308 Saiga AK?

Anyone have any experience with one? I’m considering one…not really anything that I thought I’d get, but is unusual enough that it piqued my interest.

The one I’m looking at has been converted, so…that’s not a consideration.

this would be (as far as ak style 308's go and not necessarily this particular rifle, but brand) my choice as they (supposedly) fixed /improved the stamped kalashnikov version(s).

if tws (Texas Weapon Systems) produced a 308win variant, it would be my go-to. i haven't seen any vids on the saiga.

Didn’t Red Jacket firearms distribute Saiga AK’s? I know they went out of business due to Will Hayden being convicted of rape, just curious, haven’t seen much about Saiga guns after that

This is a Saiga, not a VEPR;..it’s also been converted to a more traditional AK format—pistol grip, AK stock…

That VEPR looks pretty damn cool, though.

I honestly don’t know about Red Jacket…

I do know that they got banned when Russia invaded Crimea 10 years or so ago. I had a Saiga 12 that I sold for an obscene amount over what I paid for that reason.
