Anyone Have Actual Experience w/one of These (FN Reflex® MRD)?

Mine has been...

Quick question. My Reflex came in today and reading the optic installation manual (FNs), they say torque to 6-8 inch pounds regardless of what optic manual says. I’ve never used less than 15 inch pounds to mount an optic (and never lost one). Curious as to what you torqued your optic to during mounting (assuming you used a torque wrench).

The FN Reflex optic mounting guide actually says “DO NOT TORQUE SCREWS DOWN BEYOND 6 TO 8 IN/LBS (EVEN IF OTHERWISE RECOMMENDED BY THE OPTICAL SIGHT MANUFACTURER), IT WILL CAUSE DAMAGE AND FUNCTIONAL ISSUES TO THE FIREARM.”

I gotta say, using that low of torque for mounting an optic does cause me some concern, especially when they also state not to use thread locker since they have some type of nylon patch on their screws.

I probably won’t get to range until next week, and that trip will be without optic (I always like to put a new gun through its paces without an optic before I add an optic - just one less variable if there are issues).

I used a fat wrench set at 10 lbs. and blue Loctite. I'm probably at around 300 rounds and not issues yet.

While I love my Hellcat, I kind of like the idea of a hammer fired micro 9…if they’ve worked out their initial kinks. Been a year +, so I’m kind of thinking they might have fixed some initial QC issues.

I have had my Reflex for about a year, I think they have polished out the issues, mine runs with any ammo I've put thur it 115, 124 ect no hiccups.. I really like the pistol, is my EDC... i've read about a lot of issues.I think maybe in the beginning, they had some kinks to work out.But I didn't get mine when it first came out.I haven't had mine like I said. But about a year, it's the. I think i'm going to leave it as is I like that. It's thin and easy to conceal. It's very accurate and one of the best triggers i've pulled. I have a hellcat a few glocks, i prefer the reflex over all them.
