I have said it here before but it bears repeating. I worked with many FBI agents in the field and found them to be honorable patriots with whom I would trust my life. But I never met a field agent who had anything good to say about their HQ. The upper levels of FBI got to thinking they were players in the political games. We had a name for it: "Potomac Fever". Comey had it bad. Patel is breaking up the cabal and moving a lot of their operation to Alabama, I hope this breaks the trend. I for one would like to see their HQ in rural BF Iowa but we shall see how far Patel can go.

I’m not discounting your experience brother, but there is a percentage ( what percentage I have no clue) of field agents who are unbearable, arrogant pricks who think they’re above the law. My dad has 3 cousins who are.

We can also see it in people like Peter Strozk.

I wonder what percentage of field agents would use FBI resources to run background checks on people in their civilian world. Like daughter’s boyfriends, people who cut them off in traffic, parents at little league games, etc.

Remember when Noem or whoever it was put a target on some congress critters that needed to be beaten in an election ? What was the reaction to that ? There’s at least 10 Trump “misquotes” along the same lines that were headline news for months and years even. Several with regards to things he said on Jan. 6.
 
Hell, Trump told supporters to fight and they F’ing impeached him claiming he incited a riot.

Dude has survived two assassination attempts and someone actually thinks this is appropriate for the former head of the FBI to post on social media ?

And the media parrots can all say 86 means to fire or get rid of, but anyone claiming they never heard it used to imply killing someone’s is a liar.
 
I just went to the “News” app on my phone, which had every media outlet you can think of. Not a single headline about the Comey story. So even though we got Clapper coming out trying to save face over the Biden/dementia debacle, in which he plainly admits the legacy media is a DNC mouthpiece, they don’t seem to have learned their lesson about what a journalist is supposed to be doing. 90% of Trump coverage is negative. Less than 7% of coverage of democrats is negative.

I learned in protective services training that there is always someone who aspires to assassinate the president and others. It is a constant. USSS is constantly running those nut jobs down and assessing them. Fortuntely, most of them are too crazy to put a plan together. The dangerous ones are the right mix of aspiration, crazy, and capability. The most dangerous ones are the ones inside the tent with your protectee. Trump is a target, Comey or not, but we didn't need him to provide a spark for some homicidal looney.
