Was in my local GS recently and run across this 2016 built Kimber Master Carry Pro. 28oz, 4" barrel and really points nice. Looks a bit beat up and used, which might be a good thing. Gonna give it some TLC and a bit of cleaning, probably a new guide rod and spring and see how she runs. I hope to drop a progress report soon, provided my chores don't keep me from the range.

Great find. It even has a laser👍

My favorite expression is ' Pre Broken In , on Somebody Else's Dime .'

Lasers have lost the Kool Kid Brownie Points battle to the RDO . So being me , in a Retro Cromudgeon mood , made me want to test drive what " everybody " is dropping.

( Preliminary impressions, not yet the Official Biggfoot Pronouncements)

Their usefulness is greater than Zero . It's a very narrow niche of what they do ( outstanding , better than any alternative) , and a wider range of " kinda medium , but better to have the option than not " .

I Will advise zeroing to have the dot sitting on top of aligned front sight to 13 to 15 yds . Insignificant offset up close , still good with Center Mass aiming out to 25 yds .

Yours where it's contained in the grip , is no problem with holster fit ( unlike mine ), so there's no downside for you to have it available, but not use it most of the time .

Well written... As for the holster fit, I came home with it and immediately removed a ElPaso Saddlery Holster I had in my closet, and it fit snuggly. Bonus there for me as they make good products and it carries the MCP very nicely. As for the laser, I think it will most likely stay off, but I may check the zero on it as you stated, much obliged.
