He decided it was worth it. You don't go on rants like that without knowing you are alienating a lot of people. I'm sure he doesn't need the money though so....
I'm a guy who can separate art from the artist. I know that a lot of the bands/artists I like, love even, are liberals. I like it better when they don't go on unhinged rants, but it isn't going to influence me a bit about whether I like their music or would purchase it. Bruce Springsteen is one of the most overrated musicians/acts on the planet. I can't imagine anyone calling him the boss. And so we're clear, I hated his music long before I knew anything about his politics.

I’m from Jersey and house I owned was around corner from where he grew up and I can’t stand his music
. My dad loves it, too each their own I guess. I Couldn’t give a squirt about his or any other “celeb” politics and anymore just wish people would stop oversharing. Similarly those that share I don’t let their positions dictate what media makes my ears or eye holes happy.

There's a band rolling around comprised of Grateful Dead roadies. The guy doing Jerry nails him completely and even uses one of Jerry's actual guitars. They recreate specific shows. My buddy went to one over the weekend. It was a recreation of a show in '84. Wish I would have known, I would have went.
