A project no one needs.... especially me.

Well, ...I need a project to work on. I was doing to do some "stuff" to my SA-35 but I couldn't bring myself to do it. So I bought it a holster and told it to just sit there and look pretty.

While I'm waiting for the bucket seat brackets for my Fairlane I stumbled across a thing. A .380 thing. A .380 ACP carbine thing. A .380 ACP Hi Point cabine thing. My first thought was really? Then I checked to see if they made one in .32 ACP. They do not :(.

I looked at it and said to myself that it has all of the functionality and visual appeal of a Hi Point. The obvious emphasized ergonomic shape and materials that enhance it's usability. What a sleek, modern, rugged and traditional looking rifle (Sorry. Carbine) all to launch 9mm short.

Boy do I not need that and now I must have it. Of course it will not stay in that configuration. I have never wanted a bullpup rifle before, but then again I never thought about a .380 long gun either so why not mix the two.

Even better is that they offer it in OD green. I just sold a prism optic. For more than the price of the Hi Point. Moo-hoo-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaaa 🤪

A lot of people look down the nose at a hi point carbine but my wife loved hers in .45 and rhe stupid thing was accurate and completely reliable. If it had not been too heavy for her arthritic wrist she would still be shooting it. I was doubtful at first but she made a believer.
Yeah, a Buick runs nice also, but it loses out on the beauty category.

If a Hi-Point is issued for free, then thats another story, but to willingly spend cash on the ugly.. hmmm.

Guess even the ugly needs some loving. Glad someone else is willing to bring them home 😉🙂

Got no problems with a Buick drove one for years in winter, thing went everywhere better than most 4 wheel drive trucks in snow. coMe October put the trans am and camaro in the pole barn and brought out the lesabre. Saved money on insurance and no salt on the others. Sometimes looks move aside for function.

Didnt say they were not well made, said they are ugly as sin

Glad someone see’s the beauty.
Folks bought cabbage patch dolls also 😝

Never said I saw beauty in it. My wife shot, one friends, and loved how it shot. She wanted one and bought it. I learned to shoot it and taught her how to run it with laser light forgrip and onboard mag holder, and she shot it amazingly well.

It ran with every load we tried and was accurate as heck. She liked it no matter how it looked and I never worried leaving her home with it. So, if that is beauty, so be it, to me it was ugly and heavy but it kept her safe for several years when i went away for work or hunting for weeks at a time, until she could no longer handle the weight, so I give it the credit it deserved..

And its serving still today, my nephew uses it at his place. Having a wife and 8 kids he is on a tight budget and my wife gave it to him and its his main home longarm. I dont feel bad like he is underarmed. A bit silly for marrying a woman who does not work with 4 kids when he has 3 and then having a baby, but that's something alk together different.
