I did measure the barrel it’s 10 1/2(Scene: Hans reaches into the bookcase next to the easy chair, pulls out the S&W Standard Catalog, dexterously avoiding spilling his drink…):
AEH prefix should put it someplace in 1984.
I’m pretty sure that’s a 29-3 Silhouette…it sure looks like a 10” barrel.
As Annihilator said, look on the frame under the cylinder crane; should be a model number (29-x).
Then measure the barrel…from the front of the frame to the muzzle should be good enough, or put a rod down it and measure from the beginning of the forcing cone to the muzzle.
Either way—that is a very, very nice piece.
You hit it right on Hans you the man I just check the paperwork 29-3 silhouette 10 barrel. I got a decent price I think 900. With target grips(Scene: Hans reaches into the bookcase next to the easy chair, pulls out the S&W Standard Catalog, dexterously avoiding spilling his drink…):

I don't know if you're familiar with this particular model, but when you take it to the range, it's okay to occasionally put magnums through it, but try to stick with the specials. That'll make the gun last a hell of a lot longer. The Magnum rounds just beat the snot out of that revolver.
I'm just saying that to help preserve its value. If you want to run hot 44s be my guest.I sure hope not. If I can't feed a 29 a steady diet of .44 Magnums I don't even want it.
My 90s Taurus model 44, which by all accounts is a "Budget" weapon has had thousands of rounds, ALL .44 Mag through it and it's as good now as it was the day I bought it.
If that's the case I may, assuming I get a good deal on the 29, trade it off or sell it and get another Super Blackhawk.
