I'm pretty sure I actually have one of these books in a box somewhere. I found this one online eBay wanted 65$ for this book. There is nothing in the world that I am that nostalgic for and even if I was my wife wouldn't let me spend that kind of cash on a book anyway
 
We train on that every year at our agency. Only difference I see is we go about one arm's length back, not two. But it's part of every tactical training each year as well as part of our qualifications.

We do train the if you go back under cover, say for a reload or just because of incoming live fire, to come back out in a different spot. And we train to even switch hands on the gun if we have to to maximize cover. If your right handed and you are popping out of the left side of cover, it is better to take a left handed grip, then you don't have to expose yourself as much.
