More Sig 320 drama

This thread has, comparatively, been rather tame. And just because folks don’t all climb on the “agree with me” train, it shouldn’t mean a thread needs to be closed.

There was a time, in a galaxy far, far away, where adults could engage in lively debate without coming to blows, verbal or otherwise.
That was before 1000 channels of cable TV, the internet, and cancell culture. When people had no other choice but to listen and hear conflicting points of view, and they didn't have a million different outlets to run to only be told options they agree with. Things could come to blows, so adults typically also watched their tone, and how they said things. The point is, they still said it, and you had to hear it whether you agreed or not.

Well, the XD vs XD Mod 3 thread brought me here well after the fact. I didn't read all the other 100+ post. I started on page #7 and guess I'll end on page #8. Hope you all enjoy your weekends. But before I go....

If you really want to do sonething about it, hire a lawyer and start a class action suit against Sig.
There's a wait list for that. <sarcasm>

Seven pages of 320 bashing. I could wax poetically about a grip safety on a striker fired pistol but I'll let it go.
But does it fire without pulling the trigger? I'm asking for a friend.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.....

Yeah that's BS. Dude's holstering the weapon ( I've seen those videos) it absolutely doesn't "Clearly show the gun going off with nothing engaging the trigger."

You also have no clue what I have business owning, carrying or using, sport. ;) And making that assessment ( the same assessment several others here, including some LEO and Military, made after seeing at least two of those videos,) sure AF has no relation to what you think qualifies anyone to do anything.

And to answer that nagging question that's been in the back of your brain, yes, a lot of people are getting sick of you posting shite about the 320. And posting in general frankly.
Okay. Not everybody is sick of it. Now if we were talking smack about Hi-Point. That would be different. For me.

I've only run into two intolerable people (not everyone who owns one) over a gun. One was a Sig guy and the other was a Staccato guy. I work with the Sig guy so this is one of my resources for some good natured ribbing.

Plus I don't like Sigs myself. So bring on the Sig slap down.

Targets are not the same at a range and the streets. Working the mean streets, a target is moving and shooting at you. Maybe multiple targets at same time. Been there, done that…it definitely degrades your accuracy.
Bingo! I've said the same. You have a hard portion of conceited and overconfident men on firearm forums who never actually been in a gun fight, but think they're experts. They LOVE to Monday night quarterback. They think that they are John Wick just because they can make shots at the safety of a gun range at stationary targets when they are mentally prepared and planned out what they're about to do. I was one of those people until I was actually in a gun fight.

When you are thinking about what you're going to eat for dinner and out the blue you're seconds away from death via an unpredictable and erratically moving threat that's also shooting back while you both are dodging bullets and moving for cover, you're going NOT going to be anywhere near as accurate. You're going to more than likely miss more than you hit especially so if you're injured.

I watch basketball. It reminds me of NBA players in practice. They can make 90% or more of their 3-point shots in while in practice, but while in the big lights of the playoffs in front of tens of thousands of people and millions around the world on TV, that percentage drops by 2/3 or more. It's not the same.

I don’t disagree with your statements and really try to push folks to train with Cognative decision making courses where rule 4 issues are something your gonna have to deal with. (John Hearne and Darryl Bolke are great instructors for that)

And don’t settle on flat range agency qualifications as training.

But just asking (in case I missed it) what exactly does that have to do with the Sig 320 debacle of going off in holsters?

It’s an important topic though and should be discussed. I suggested to a Mod about having a training thread to announce classes and discussing AAR’s and topics associated with training and gaining proficiency.

or for those who are not inclined to read further foolishness.
I look at it this way. Forums are like a party, and just because you don’t want to talk to someone, neither of you should leave, but ignore button is equivalent of choosing to not listen to someone and walking away :)

Like the great Tupac once said

“Just because you lost me as a friend, doesn’t mean you gained me as an enemy. I still wanna see you eat, just not at my table”

Was that AAR or AARP? Based n the thread.
