Grail Gun Acquired

Typically gun shows tend to suck. Lots of old vendors selling the same old crap, and all the bigger outfits/FFL's selling things at VERY inflated prices. I managed to score a deal this time around. I was a bit in disbelief. Snagged me an SP5, w/ the SB Collapsible brace, Midwest Industries Claw pic rail mount, two mags, and the tri-lug flash hider. I'm not even sure this dude shot it if im being 100% honest.

He was in a hurry and looking for a cash deal. OTD for $2175. I am over the goddamn moon. Only took 4 years, but I swore my first HK would be an SP5!!

Sweet. I paid $2999 for mine. Then spent another $1500 on accessories. Favorite firearm...primary home defense weapon. Re-assembling the bolt gets easy after 3-4 attempts, btw. PITA the first time, let me tell you. I put a Holosun 510C on mine, love it. Tried an Eotech, returned for refund due to a bad quick-detach mechanism...

Yeah, those accessories add up quick. Everything with the letters HK in front of it are automatically inflated by a few hundred bucks lol.

I haven't taken it apart yet. Briefly glanced through the manual. I'm sure i'll figure it out. I'm light years ahead of my first post on these forums 4 years ago absolutely freaking out because I was ultra paranoid about re-assembling the BCG for my Saint Victor .308 lmfao.

Roller-delayed bolts are a headache. BUT....they get easier the more you clean them. I don't think they're more difficult than cleaning an M1A or M1 30-cal (Garand)....1/2-dozen disassemblies and you're golden.

And yes, you got a great deal.
