Potent Potables (aka What’s your poison?)

Just returned from Vermont with a case of Heady Topper Double IPA from Alchemist Brewing in Stowe, VT which won the top prize at the International Beer Fest a few years back. It's always in high demand due to its excellence but must be kept cold. I have a 48 can cooler but it only accepts 24 cans and 15 lbs. of ice due to can size for the trip home. If you travel to VT, give it a try and you'll be hooked, as I have been since I first tasted it. Gotta find a cooler that will fit 2 cases, the ice, and my car before the next trip.

I recently became a bourbon guy....And I hate the bourbon "wall" between Wisconsin and Illinois. Blanton's, EH Taylor, Eagle rare, all are at every gas station in IL, but all are "once-a-year" at big liquor stores around me. sorry...just a bitch on my part...

Allocation and scarcity is a thing.
I deal in allocated goods ..
capitalism at its finest

Some states the stores are owned by the state govt. so prices and supply is completely different

My money isn"t good enuf? BS! Any allocated bourbon is personna-non-grata in Wisconsin, but available in any gas station in IL. There is a huge wall between WI and IL for bourbon....Blantons is in every gas station in IL.....$150 in any place near me with a bottle...THE more I appreciate bourbon, the more I hate it. It's like democrats running bourbon sales. Yes, I said that.

Scarcity drives demand… and prices.
Wisconsin isnt a big bourbon market and doesnt buy enough of the companies other goods that has those bourbons.
Think guns or cars.
The states that do volume sales get first dibs and quantity on the rare cars or rare guns.
Same for booze
That that hard to understand
Your state doesnt pull their weight 😝🤠

Tonights choices … hmm..
