Help with Mod 3 Optic install

The Holosun 507K uses M3 screws (3mm). The length is typically 8-10mm in length.
Measure the plate thickness, then place the different length screws through the optic and measure how far they come out the bottom. You are looking to use the longest screw you can while NOT so long that they stick out the bottom of the plate.
The plate, if from SA, should have come with proper screws to mount to the XD mod.3.

Negative. Got the plate but no screws. Looks like you use the screws that secured the cover on the gun. This is just another reason I hate optics. They want you to purchase one but no support to install. Thanks for your info.

I did find this…
“ Identify the Right Screws for the Optic:
The Holosun 507K is a bit different, and the standard screws that come with the optic may be too short when used with a Springfield AOS plate. You will likely need M4 x 0.7mm x 10mm screws.”
I’m just kind of perusing the internet because I have a 507k too that I bought for my AOS Emissary, along with the plate for it from Springfield. After I took Emissary to range (no optic) first time, I pretty much decided I didn’t really need the optic, so it sits on a shelf. My plate is still in its’ bag, but I just checked and there are two screws in the bag, very short so I’m sure for plate to gun.
Pretty much following this and try to help here and there because if I do decide to mount the optic, would be good to know what screws I need

I appreciate all your help but the more I look the worse it gets. It seems Springfield will sell you a plate for $25 but after that that's it. Nobody seems to know exactly what screws are to be used to mount the 507K on this gun. What a pain! Really wanted the optic thing to work but when you can't even get any info on how to mount it, well, that blows. I just heard from Holosun and they say I need custom screws! I give up. In the trash the sight goes!
