Shaking My Head … California Strikes Again

Just saw this in my news feed. I’ll never understand how some people think. Far as I’m concerned, if someone injures an innocent that might have been prevented through proper safety equipment - ESPECIALLY lighting - this Sheriff should be charged for it.

I've said this for a bunch of times and it never seems to hit. I'm not sure why I keep saying it but I do honestly believe this.

I am absolutely convinced that America is in the middle maybe towards the end of a quiet Communist takeover.

Before I was even born, Nikita Kruchev slammed his shoe on the podium in the UN General Assembly and said that Russia would destroy America from the inside out.

I say this a lot, but I think that Joe McCarthy was right. I believe that Hollywood has been infiltrated by communist sympathizers I believe the NEA has been infiltrated by communist sympathizers, I absolutely believe our higher education system has been infiltrated by communist sympathizers and they've been indoctrinating our kids probably since the mid-40s.

I believe that when our generation is gone and our grandkids who were raised on Heather Has Two Mommies are running the country they will pass a law revoking the Second Amendment and tell everybody to turn their guns in and most of them will do it.

After that they'll send the Army or the cops after the few remaining holdouts and America will become a Communist Utopia.

First, on topic. I don’t know if Sheriffs in CA are elected or appointed, but if they’re elected, seems this town got exactly what they asked for. My concern is that should Newsom somehow succeed in his 2028 Presidential bid, this is where the US will be headed, sooner than later, and that will easily be in OUR lifetime.

I would almost concur 100% with your assessments. I just don’t think it will be a “Utopia”. I put the definition of Utopia, via Wikipedia, at the end of this post. Most will learn, too late, that Socialism and Communism is EXACTLY how it’s portrayed in the history books that apparently schools don’t use anymore:

“Historical and modern examples of perceived failed socialist states:

The Soviet Union (USSR): Established after the 1917 Russian Revolution, the USSR collapsed in 1991 following severe economic stagnation, widespread shortages of goods, and a failed coup attempt. Critics often point to its use of a totalitarian regime, suppression of dissent, and economic failures as a primary example of socialism's failings.

Venezuela: Beginning in the 2010s, Venezuela's economy has been in a state of severe crisis under its socialist government, experiencing hyperinflation, extreme poverty, and food and medicine shortages. Critics suggest that government mismanagement, over-reliance on oil exports, and populist policies contributed to its collapse.

Cuba: Since its revolution in 1959, Cuba has operated as a one-party communist state. It has struggled with severe economic crises and widespread poverty, often made worse by a U.S. economic embargo.

North Korea: An isolated, totalitarian state, North Korea's command economy has left a large majority of its population in poverty. It is often cited as an example of a failed socialist system, with economic stagnation and widespread suffering.

East Germany: From its founding in 1949 until reunification in 1990, East Germany suffered from economic crises, stagnant growth, and shortages of goods. These issues, alongside political repression, contributed to popular support for reunification.

Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge: This extreme communist regime in the 1970s led to the Cambodian genocide, in which an estimated 1.5 to 2 million people died from execution, starvation, and overwork. This is considered one of the most brutal failures of a state claiming to be socialist.”

Newsome has zero chance of winning a national election.

I don't live in Cali and if I did I would have moved a long time ago.

What needs to happen, won't. What needs to happen is the SCOTUS needs to set in stone exactly what the second amendment means. SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. PERIOD.

While I wouldn’t likely disagree, I remember when many said the same about Trump. I do absolutely agree with the SCOTUS actually codifying the 2nd Amendment in specific terms! Would likely prevent a lot of the nonsense (though many blue states choose to just ignore the Bruen decision).

I also agree on living in California. Outside of those who don’t have the means to relocate, I’ll never understand why anyone lives under that regime.

See the communism thing too often with regard to second amendment and I’ll say it again, arm the proletariat. It was the authoritarian Bolsheviks and continuing with Stalin that didn’t want the people to have guns….likely because they enjoyed the power they maintained. Communism is actually not Anti-Gun, Authoritative Dbags are :) Many other things to dislike about communism 😂

That is wild that you have to put on your permit the weapon you want to conceal carry. I was looking and it doesn’t look like it’s widespread in California but limited to that Contra Costa county. The YouTube guy that i think the story links to i don’t pay attention to, likes hyperbole too much because it drives the clickity clicks.

Here is something to ponder given the previous rampant illegal immigration across our southern border: Cuba was actually the USSR's distant second choice to Mexico to spread communist influence in our hemisphere. The COMINTERN thought that Mexico was far more politically savvy and were in a much better position to cause mayhem in the US given the shared border. Cuba was viewed as political bumpkins but nevertheless would do in a pinch after Mexico proved a tougher nut to crack at the time.

I'm open to hearing about a communist government that didn't disarm the population.

Don't say American Indians because we were not communists.
As Karl Marx wrote the working class should be armed. The weak bish communist governments as we know them cherry picked their version and they were afraid of an armed population and Bolsheviks on to Stalin took the peoples weapons.

Theoretical communism vs in current practice 😂

Thats the thing about theoretical communism. It doesn't exist and never has existed.

It's like making a statement about Christianity based on the Heaven's Gate space odyssey.

And yet the father of communism wrote it so. Just because some A holes did it their way doesn’t make it any less real 😂

I don’t talk about religion. like herpes, only you should know you got it is my thinking

Father of communism ? Not really.
he an the other guy wrote communism manifesto and kindof father modern communism. Do tell Ricky bell, who it is?
Prior to there writing, yea the idea of classless society was a thing but would have no reason to believe them anti armed working class. The anti gun portion is rooted in the practical implementations which stray into authoritarian rule.

You don't need to school me homey. I studied Russian history for 3 years in college.

As we have already established, Marx was the father of theoretical communism. And really he was just the first one articulate enough to write a book outlining his vision of it. Which has never been followed by anyone.

So to circle back, we are discussing the premise that communism isn't anti-gun. Maybe rewording that would have been more accurate ?
