Is Constitutional Carry a Mistake?

The armorer was not qualified for the job. She brought live ammo onto the set. They knew there would be gunplay on the set and the gun should have been made safe. She was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months. Baldwin was also charged but it was dismissed due to prosecutor misconduct.

Ok, I think I found the answer to my own question:

Does a permit qualify as an alternative to a NICS check if the purchaser is using it to buy a type of firearm that is not covered by the permit? | Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

Yes, assuming the transaction complies with state law. Example ATF recognizes the permit to purchase a handgun and the concealed weapons permit as alternatives to a NICS check in a particular state. Any purchaser who displays either permit in that state is not required to undergo a NICS check...

You know, this country got along just fine without background checks for firearm sales from 1776 till 1968. How about we do away with background checks
 
I'm late and haven't read the entire thread, but....I think it is, if any nut job can carry concealed legally then they will. It only takes one, maybe if it was regulated as before, they wouldn't be carrying it, but we'll never really know until after the fact. I'll be pack'n!

Open carry in urban settings doesn't set well with me as too many clowns will strap one on for the drama, as it only takes a couple idiots to screw up the program. That said, "Shall not infringe" is pretty clear as the battle for your rights continues...

Not in the Free State of Florida you won't, as the fear of the Dealer and the ATF is still real... Damn check every time regardless to include even being the PoPo. And if he doesn't have a "Florida" conceal carry, three days for you, even with a Federal Carry...

What was that about "Shall not be Infringed"...

By nut job what are you referring? A low information idiot or like someone that isn’t allowed to possess a gun?

The later is not legal and if caught has that issue to deal with.

The low information type…well they are allowed to vote!!!!
 
Food for thought a lot of states have reciprocity with others states concealed carry permits while not so much constitutional carry. Not to mention going through a class that teaches you the states laws is a nice thing to know.

Like a nut job that is radicalized politically or socially displaced who has gone down rabbit holes and follows theories that aren't factually based, unhinged from reality, has bazar thoughts of getting even with others for their perceived injustices and who would use a gun to act upon some political ideology or social injustice.

That kind of nut job, especially the kind that seem normal until they blow their fuse.

I get it however unless they make threats of doing singling how would you fairly police that unless it’s similar or an emergency detention thing? In which case most states there has to be something that makes it justified to not violate their 4th amendment rights.

Not if they are deemed mental issues then yeah they would have cause but anyone with no history well I can think they are writes but that doesn’t mean anything!

People are suppose to have drivers license when they drive yet any given day someone is getting hooked up for that or habitual traffic violated. If they did something to have a firearms restriction they will get theirs if they do something

I guess I am asking for clarification. My take constitutionally is one saying someone else is a nut job does not mean they are. And from the way the statement was made it seems as though that is a reason to snatch the dude up.

Lots of folks I feel are quirky enough they would fit the term nut job but sort of hard to prove .until they start doing something criminal.

Really no different than “swatting” someone and we see how that goes.
