A few years ago, the better half went on a family vacation and spent 7 weeks touring Europe. Her aunt was getting to the point that she'd never be able to take a trip like that so the family decided to take her on a once in a lifetime vacation before she died. Watching the news lately, I'm thanking God that they weren't on that once in a lifetime vacation right now.
Hey!! Wife and I are going back Tuesday. 3 days in Southampton, UK, then on a cruise to the Baltic. Norwegian Cruises decided to skip Finland, where we wanted to go and spend an extra day in Copenhagen, which we didn’t. If you see a cruise ship sunk up that way by a Russian fighter, raise a glass to us!
Yikes! Hopefully I won't need that glass. Safe travels to you and to your better half. I say this with all sincerity. I do not have the guts to leave the US these days.
Well, the fact is that all that money spent is not theirs. It's all donated to their campaign. So in effect, the $174K/yr salary is all gravy, along with all the extras.Where else can ya get a 2 yr job that pays $175k yr and make millions? ‘Course ya gotta Spend millions to get it. I’m just an old country boy, but I figured out years ago that spending those $$ to make that salary doesn’t make sense. Then I got it sorted, the salary is actually $175k PLUS all you can steal. Now it makes perfect sense.
