I would love to have a XD but I live in a communist state that has issues with round count in a magazine.

I wish I followed SA a little closer but majority of their stuff isn’t Illinois legal even if they are about an hour away from me on 80.

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party. I also wanted to welcome you to the forum.

I've been an XD fanboy for a few years now, although I'm not fond of short barrels. I realize that many folks have better skills than I and can shoot them quite well. Some folks require a smaller gun for proper concealment when they carry. This old noob requires at least a 4" barrel just to hit the broad side of a barn. I have enough "tactical girth" to conceal it well. ;)

That being said, you might have a look at the new-ish XD9 Mod.3. It has a 4" barrel, optics ready, upgraded sights and trigger, improved grip, etc. Just a thought. I really love mine and the price is right.
