Went to range and shot the VP9. First I fired 100 rounds with the 4 inch. Then I changed to the long slide and put 100 rounds thru that one. I really shoot the HK the best of all my guns. I wish i could purchase more of them. I try other brands but they always seem to disappoint. I also shoot the 1911 very well, any 1911, but too heavy for me to carry. It was a beautiful day with temps in the 70's.

I think I will just do my chores around home today. I did a lot of heavy hauling yesterday, and even though my upper body is used to that, my upper arms and shoulders are aching something fierce so I will go out to the range tomorrow. Last Saturday wasn't bad at all, and the weather was pukey...so if I light a fire under my butt and get there earlier tomorrow, it should be good.

Lots to do this weekend. I want to get the final itinerary for our roadtrip west from the husband so I can check the CC reciprocity for every state we visit. I think he finally did omit California (yay!). He has family there near Fresno and it would be nice to see them again, but with the Vegas reunion and lateness of the seasons, we don't want to run into snow coming back. Cali would put it out too far we think. The weather this year has been pretty weird as it is. There is no telling when we'll get the first freeze/snow, and the west always gets it first.

Got the word yesterday that the company I work for is increasing the mandatory overtime...again. It's shaping up to be a busy fall/winter, and I don't see much in the way of bonuses in the future seeing as how we haven't had a cost of living raise in several years. I am glad I am nearing retirement. The light at the end of the tunnel is growing slowly .

You are keeping commerce going. Thank you for paying your FICA tax!

I have had a few really bad days and finally realized I can't do those 18 hour days anymore. So this morning I returned to writing. In the past I have had some published in local outlets and even in the library of Congress. I do what is called PoS and over the years I have gotten a little bit better as my wife types up my efforts and cleans up the mistakes in punctuation and keeps a file to pass on to my kids grandkids and great grandkids with hope's of maybe worth a dime or two. Some my kids have already shared some of the as I mailed them hard copies. Most of it is based on my past and a way to tell my past. I it's kind of funny because I didn't learn to read until the 5th grade but a wonderful teacher saw what was going on. It opened up a lot of things and even wrote a paper on the use of electronic counter measures. Things that crossed thru my life I managed to put into words my life as I traveled this trace. Today after 6 hours sleep another PoS ran thru my brain and then my wife desiffers my scribbles.
