he cavalry revival is more than symbolic. Russian sources claim that mounted troops are being trained for active assault operations, with each horse carrying two soldiers — one to control the animal and another to provide covering fire. The concept is intended to increase mobility and survivability in areas where vehicles are vulnerable or immobilized by mines and difficult ground conditions.

Has anyone read "Horse Warriors" ?

A band of Special Forces soldiers 'procurred' horses entered Afghanistan just after 9/11 and chased Taliban through the mountains on horseback. Great non-fiction, yet still hard to believe, book. Cavalry on horseback calling in smart-bombs.

That's the story of the movie "12 Strong"

Ft. Sam had the stables for SOCOM riders.

That first animal looks more like a Missouri Mule!

Russians eat horses, that and drinking anti-freeze to replace vodka in the field, that's not going to end well for them.

Putin is getting desperate for winning tactics!

The last "horse-based" cavalry attack in modern warfare occurred in Poland when it was attacked by the Germans in the beginning of WW2.

It didn't go well for the Poles.

VP doesn't care how many of his troops become fertilizer and vulture food.
This Mounted troops versus machine gun. Who you think is going to come out on top?
