New episode of Gun Stories was on last night, thought it would be a good one since it was concerning concealed carry, first minutes were good, showing the Ruger LCP .380 then a J frame S&W, then Rob L. came on and talked about the Hellcat, then the show went down hill, some so called expert from Gunsite came on saying you don’t want to use a .380 for carry, then stated you also don’t want a 5 shot revolver, said unless your a cop and have backup, if you use a 5 shot revolver your on your own, my thoughts, what a total idiot, then after this old idiots crap, the host was saying about women buying and carrying more now, which I thought it was great, then he went DEI crap and had to say women of color, then after this the show was nothing but Sig……pathetic…..then you wonder why there isn’t any new gun shows on, last episode I’ll ever watch, been watching that show for years

My wife at one time was a para legal at a law firm and there was several lawyers around the country that had been shot in there office so her boss ask if she had a CCW permit and no was the answer. So she took the test sand we went and got her a Bersa with extra magazine. She passed then went out to the range and she passed with flying colors. She put her first magazine of 7 rounds center mass in a 4 inch group her second mag she took out targets nose and eye balls. Our mud room had a half glass door so I posted her target on the wall facing the half glass door. The finishing touch was below it that said her backup was a hundred plus pound Rotty.

It seems that person was another type2 expert. We have enough of those is every field esp 2A. Nothing wrong with a .380 and a 5 rd revolver can do the job, of course I would recommend a backup Sp-loader of some kind jic.

Most of the time I carry my 1911 45 which has 7 and one in the tube.backed with 3 mags

I strongly suspect that a huge % of those who preach “full size, hi capacity, extra mags” are not the folks who actually carry all day, everyday, year after year. I have one friend who carries a full size 1911 .45. Everybody else I know who actually carries all the time are packing something a lot smaller, lighter and easier to tote. J frames, various .380’s, a couple 938’s, a Hellion and a couple of original 365’s are what people I know actually carry. And my friends include a couple of police’s officers, one fed, and other just plain folks. Age group runs from 50-70’s

We have a Bodyguard 2.0 that the husband carries as a backup. Me, I carry 9mm subcompacts, sometimes a micro. I also carry a spare mag.

There are some folks who do, but I’m betting you’re in the minority. Me? I’m still looking door that elusive pistol that shoots like my Shadow 2 and carries like my 938. If I ever find it y’all will be the first to know
