Thank god I don't have to winterize widows here. I remember storm windows and plastic growing up in my father's house during the winter--what a pain. Brings back memories. All the snow shoveling also.

Just installed new trigger connectors on two Glocks for friends, and got my red dot mounted on my TRP 1911. Getting ready to head to the range for test fires and to zero the dot.

i "kinda hate it", when so many areas like mine and yours, has rain after rain, after rain....

then several days or weeks to dry out, and the insipid fools that report on the weather say..."we need it"

like for crying out loud.....how much of a "need is there", when the ground is saturated, the river banks level off, and the basements got pumped out and repaired..????

dammit..GIVE US 75 degree days and nights, for about 68,000 more years.....!!!!!!!

Kinda makes you think Mother earth has decided to shake off the humans. Some times I think I hear her hollern Get off my back.

Rain has held off so Maggie got her morning walks. Backyard grass got cut and sprayed for weeds around property. Once on for a hour it doesn't care if it rains or not, everything dies. So now that my chores are done it's relax time.

Just got off the phone with my sister, mom has had a set back. Accused her of taking her wallet and money and abandoning her in a hotel. My sister is a saint. All she asks of me is to allow her to vent, and call mom every two hours. I would fly there in a heartbeat but she told me just to enjoy my vacation (yeah sure). Really though, it’s just really hard being two time zones away when this is happening.

Anyway, we are just out exploring the badlands, probably go out to Deadwood, then out to Crazy Horse and Mt Rushmore. Onward and upward.

Got the 3.5 lb trigger con̈nectors installed in the Glocks and test fired. Pretty good improvement. Zeroed the Holosun on the 1911. Pretty good at 15 yards, I will refine it some.

Replaced a couple of Blink cameras to the newest version outside. Others had been up for years and were starting to give me issues.

When I went to Deadwood my wife had to drag me out of there 2 days later. The Crazy Horse memorial is pretty cool. Wall Drug and the Badlands are both cool. If you have time from Wall you can take the old roads down to Kyle and Pine Ridge. There's not a lot down there unless your interested in Oglala/Lakota history and it can be sketchy, but...

I love South Dakota.
