Revolver Renaissance: Bold, Reliable & Overlooked

Well now, I'm gonna have to read up about these different rifling types. With the way I shoot, will it really make a difference? :p Thanks for mentioning the difference. I've got some learning to do.

The first handgun I ever fired was an Army Issue 1911. Sorta explains my great fondness for 'em. :rolleyes:
However the first handgun I ever bought for myself was a 4" S&W Model 19. From then on I was hooked. I've been collecting S&W revolvers for some 50 years now and have a safe full of 'em. There are also wheel guns from Colt, Ruger, Charter Arms, Uberti and a couple more.
These days I've semi-retired my EDC 1911s in favor of a S&W 642 .38. Yep, done got old, fat and lazy and the little J-frame is just easier to carry. :rolleyes: But I don't feel one bit under armed. ;)

Just throwing this out there. My 1st 44 was a Dan Wesson. In the ten years I owned it, hunting, IHMSA, target, plinking, I can honestly say I'll bet never used DA more than a dozen times. I can't Imagin me needing a long-barreled DA 357. Not that a would walk away from a good deal. ;)

Won’t make a difference, it’s just a cheaper way for S&W to do the rifling, I’m just old school and prefer lands and grooves that’s all, just mentioning it, a friend of mine bought a 686 and went to clean it and thought S&W forgot to put the rifling in, explained to him the difference, his is very accurate.

EDM, ECM, Button, Broach, Hammer Forged, etc, all kinds of processes. I'm still studying. Will there be a test on Friday?
