Sad news for Kiss fans

Bummer. While not the most technically proficient guitarist, he played what he played well. He chose covers well too. I love his rendition of Fox on the Run by Sweet....Ozone and Rip it Out off his solo album (1978) still makes you groove. His crappy vocals fit the style, and it worked for most of his leads....I will miss him. And how could you not like his light-organ guitar body circa 79-80ish? That thing was **** (for the time).

I dismissed KISS for decades because of the gimmick of make-up and tongue mutilation, and I missed out on alot. When I found out a song that I'd liked was done by KISS I opened my mind some to the music. I wish I'd done it sooner.

I think Gene Simmons tainted the music too much just to make money. He didn't get the balance right, but the music was still good.

RIP, Ace. You had a good run, man.

Gene Simmons is definitely a different breed. As I will always say “a good old Jewish boy”.

I was a KISS fan since the 70s, as a kid. I was a fan all the way up till the covid times. Then Gene and Paul had to run their mouths. But Ace wasn't a part of that. R.I.P. Ace.
