What are you doing right now??

Just heard back from Guns.com about the Avidity PD10 I returned to them. They said their experts could not find anything wrong with their certified gun. This means that I will not get a full refund. I have to pay for the shipping back to them and pay a 15% re-stocking fee. That comes to $135. I heard from someone else that they would pull that crap. I can honestly say that I will never purchase anything from them again. I cannot recommend this business. Buyer beware! Now it's time for Thursday Night Football on Prime. I hope everyone has a great night.
That really sucks.

That really bites. I never had any issues with them, but I don’t go through them anymore. There are other site far better.

Yeah but I was prepared for it. Guys at the range told me probably would happen. I know it's only money but I hate being taken advantage of. My wife is more pissed at them than I am. I told her I was going to save up and the first of the year I was going to purchase one of those expensive Sig's!

you mean the center bearing on the 2 piece drive shaft...or the carrier bearing INSIDE the differential..??

Went for the morning walk with Maggie and one of my neighbors house is leaking water out of front door and garage. I called and she is in New York at the present time. Thank god her daughter lives here in town also and she is on the way. Boy this looks like it's going to be expensive.
Hot water heater is my guess. Same scenerio happened to a coworker

ok, drive shaft....

reason i asked was both rear differential AND the driver shaft support bearing, have the same name.....

"carrier bearing"

at the very lkkeast, the one you replaced was "easier" than tearing down the rear differential.........

for those not familiar with the same name, but different bearings locations/functions....

AI Overview

Two-Piece Driveshaft Technology - Rod and Custom Magazine

A two-piece driveshaft bearing is called a center support bearing or carrier bearing. It is a component that supports the middle of a two-section driveshaft, reducing vibrations and allowing the two halves to operate independently.
  • Function: The bearing's main job is to support the weight of the driveshaft and isolate harmonic vibrations that occur when the shaft spins at high speeds.
  • Location: It is mounted to the vehicle's frame between the transmission and the differential to support the joint where the two driveshaft sections connect.
  • Purpose: By supporting the driveshaft's midpoint, it reduces stress on other components and allows the driveshaft to flex without causing instability.
  • Other names: It can also be referred to as an intermediate bearing or, less commonly, a hanger bearing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A rear differential has several types of bearings, but the main ones are the pinion bearings and the carrier bearings. There are also smaller bearings that support the spider gears inside the differential housing.
  • Pinion bearings: These support the pinion gear shaft, which receives power from the driveshaft. There are usually two pinion bearings: an inner and an outer one.
  • Carrier bearings: These are also known as side bearings and support the differential carrier assembly, which holds the ring gear and spider gears.
  • Spider gear bearings: These are smaller bearings that allow the spider gears to spin freely inside the differential carrier.
